Looking for bubbles

If there is no asset bubble in China, then all of a sudden why are so many people looking for it (on Google)?

Applying Value Investing principles to Real Estate

This weekend I am going through an interesting paper from Alexandre Pestov, titled "The Elusive Canadian Housing Bubble". The paper is lengthy, but it is close to my heart. I live and work in Canada-- and many argue that I should be owning a house. But I rent. I have been renting for quite a few years.

Whenever I have looked at the real estate market, it just appeared so pricey, I just turned away from it. This paper looks at various valuation indicators over great many years to deduce that the real-estate valuation in Canadian cities is excessively high.

This paper does an excellent job at applying value investing principles to Real Estate. It doesn't quote Buffett or Graham, but sensible principles can be applied to any investment.

Enjoy. I certainly have.
